The Vibe
On the Menu
Akin to fried risotto, the rich gooey center oozes with earthy flavor.
I love the idea of puff pastry as a meal. Like a build your own pizza with toppings, I could re-imagine this baby at home for a fancy brunch spread.
Sooooo bland, total pass!
Tastes like it looks, ordinary.
The WORST item we had that day. The steak was completely OVERLY salted and very tough to cut and chew. Horribly prepared and made even more ghastly by the heavy handed salted fries and salad. I would have sent this sucker back had it not been for my manners during a private baby shower brunch.
I dream about those little praline clusters. Butter brittle is what they ought to call it- skip the spoon and scoop the chocolate up with these little bricks- you can thank me later.
Delish! After having sampled all three dessert varieties, I’m convinced the pastry Chef knows wassup. Nary a miss with such a range of styles! Not too sweet, not too tart, perfect to share amongst 4 peeps.
The BEST item on the their entire menu! I could live off this waffle and die a happy woman. The texture of the waffle is almost cake-like with chunks of whole sugar baked right in. Dense and full of buttery flavor, drizzle the cream atop each bite and be instantly transported to sweet heaven, y’all. Scrumptious!!!
Know Before You Go
Fig and Olive is the perfect place to host your next celebratory event. Their Sunday Brunch menu starts from $40pp complete with 3 courses (soup/salad, entrée, and dessert) and your choice of bubbly. I love that they accommodate large parties in each of their 4 main dining areas so next time you’re around the beach cities, stop by for brunch and work your way up to their dinner menu. I’ve had both and much prefer their am variety with a mix of sweet and savory dishes. Their entrées are infamous for being a bit salty. Very American in flavor (although meant to showcase the coastal regions of the French Riviera), you can’t miss their flight of olive oils and rosemary bread for dipping!*

Superb pics. Feeling hungry
Such beautiful brunch food!! I love the assorted crostinis and that skirt steak and fries! The coquettes also look soo appetizing! I don't often eat brunch or at least western brunch but it's being the new hot thing people are willing to pay a lot for now here!
The salads and the snack platter from the first photo look so nice! Very tempting indeed 🙂
Do you want to follow each other on Bloglovin, dear? 🙂

I have to agree, brunch is definitely the best meal of the day. Your pictures of food look good enough to eat! I've been to the Fig & Olive on Melrose before. Such a beautiful space and the crostinis are so good! I definitely want to try out the Newport location–I love dining al fresco!

Absolutely perfect pictures yet again. You always seem to amaze me with your food posts, love them! ♥
Yummy pictures, despite the fact hat steak was overly salted :(, and brunch is one of my favorite, too.
