We’re headed to Japan in 2 weeks guys!!!

I can hardly contain my excitement what with travel planning taking over my entire workdays for the last month or so. All I can think of is sushi, sushi, and sushi!!! Oh yeah and shopping of course but need that sushi to satiate me for all day shopping excursions, lol.

While I absolutely can’t wait for that authentic Japanese sashimi to be rolling off my tongue, check out one of our local oldies (but goodies) right here in Orange County, Hamamori Sushi at South Coast Plaza.

I’ve visited Hamamori a couple of times now, first with a gaggle of my girlfriends and next, for date night with le hubs. Each time the experience was different but one thing remained the same, the quality and freshness of the fish. Consistency is key for sushi joints so it’s safe to say, Hamamori has risen to one of our rotating faves.

Especially since it’s conveniently located right across the BEST.MALL.EVER, shop ‘til you drop then pop into Hamamori and rest your feet with omakase courses that’ll knock your socks right off! Gold flaked toro? Coming right up! Santa Barbara uni topped with a hot searing piece of foie gras? Oh yes, come to mama!

Each dish so beautifully presented you forget how many courses you’ve just scarfed down and all of a sudden you’re 13 pieces in! But don’t worry babes, the price is actually very reasonable for being located in a high end mall. They charge by the pieces, not by a set menu so you can say ‘when’ at any given time.

But seriously don’t stop until you’ve indulged in Hamamori’s uni-topped toro, a melt-in-your-mouth explosion of
flavor and the freshest, fattiest, tuna this side of the Pacific!
