Truth be told: I don’t really enjoy tropical vacations.
I am a bonafide workaholic. I feel so lazy when we vacation in the tropics.
Wake up. Eat. Play. Lay out at the pool. Eat. Lay out on the beach. Get a massage. Shower. Eat. Repeat.
The next few days look just like the first with a few adventurous excursions sprinkled in for effect.
I think it’s the lack of productivity that doesn’t appeal to me. The crazy irony is that MOST of my friends (including le hubs) would much rather vacation on the beach than in the city. They enjoy the sun, the sand, the completely checked out mentality that comes with traveling to any beachside resort.
The aspect that I find most appealing is, yup, you guessed it! Resort Wear, lol.
When else can I don a 2-piece skort ruffled crop top and feel totally apropos? Glamorous even!?!
Styling Tips
No resort ensemble is complete without a wide brim hat to shield your face from radical UV rays, dark sunnies to hide a make-up free face, and casual net bag to stow your bikini and beach sandals. With all the beach vacays I’ve taken year to year, I’d say I’ve got resort wear down to the earrings y’all!
