I shit you not I have found the EXACT SAME pieces from Zara and Mango, same fabric, same cut, same EVERYTHING for about 5 times the cost of Shein. What I have learned (from my own detective work) is that they ALL use the same manufacturer to make the garments or the same textile vendor to purchase their fabrics. They simply slap their own label on it and call it theirs.

Shipping and Delivery Times
Shein has multiple warehouses all over the US but the closest one to me here in Southern California is in the City of Industry. It takes about 1 week to receive my product (not the fastest but hey they’re inexpensive) but the downside is that returns take FOREVER. Like over 2-3 weeks. That would be my biggest gripe because I’m assuming corporate is in China.
Industry Comparisons
Shein competes with Forever 21, Boohoo, Lulus, Tobi, Nasty Gal, Modcloth, Asos, etc. so there is a LOT of merchandise to thumb through (too much if you ask me) so my best advice is to search by “most popular” or “relevance” to see what users are clicking on. Typically the super trendy items are the first to go so the early bird definitely gets the worm in this case!
